Hearing Janelle speak was a great
experience. She really had a lot of knowledge to offer. It’s awesome to know
she started off right where I am right now. I really liked how unique and cool save the date cards were. It was cool to be able to look at some examples.
I think it’s so important that she is personable and relaxed with her clients.
It is so important to build a relationship with them not only to build comfort
but to also get business for them in the future. You could see in the videos
that she showed just how personable she really was. It is definitely importable
to be professional but its good to be a little crazy and personable too. I think Janelle balances that very well. I
like that she passed around what she gives her clients, including the package
information and how much everything costs. It was interesting to see her prices
and the break down of what everything costs. 9,000 dollars may seem like a lot
but when you factor everything in, in all honestly it is realistic. Her package
has everything that most couple would like which probably took a lot of trial
and error of what to add in the package but I think it works well. Its smart
that she includes an engagement shoot because this helps to build the
relationship. Janelle slowly gets to know their style and what they like and don’t
like. She is able to build trust and that is so important when taking pictures.
Clients want to feel comfortable and know that you will capture their special
moment. Her little gifts of sending them a print on their anniversary help
remind them of their special day but also remind them of their photographer. At
this point in the couples life they might be pregnant and need maternity
pictures of baby pictures and sending them this little print and a coupon will
help make them long time clients.
